Finally got the 302/C4 situated in the '47 panel. Was able to place it without modifying the original crossmember. IMG_9961.JPG IMG_9960.JPG IMG_9962.JPG

I have spent the last three days helping the daughter of my departed friend clean out his shop.
He had been the go to guy for driveshaft work and machining work and had been in this building for 40 years.
This place is a real mess and full of treasures. Real hard not wanting to take most of it home with me.
She did send me home with a few things to remember him.

20230908_120510.jpg Be going back next week for another stab at it. This could take a month to get this job done.

Thank you. He was my last living mentor and is missed daily.
His daughter use to go to a lot of the events that we attended. We are having some good times talking about back in the days though.

Got the 302 for the Ranch Wagon ready to break in the cam. A good friend set it up on his run stand and it fired up and ran at 2,000 RPM for 20 minutes. 20 minutes took for ever. Now all I need is the rust repair to be completed on the Wagon. Maybe even be ready for Lloydfest 2024. engine.jpg

  11. Quit feeling sorry for myself and got the front valence for the barracuda hammered back into shape, mostly, a little filler and primed it, put another coat of primer on the trunk lid. Last three pieces to paint.

Started taking apart the front end of the Fargo to assess the damage…

  12. I'm sorry for your loss, James. That's a lot of stuff to go through and I'm sure some may trigger a memory or two.

When to help a buddy with the hood for his 62 Biscayne. We needed to fit it on the car and this thing has been setting around for a spell and had a bunch of rust between the top and reinforcement and hey why not put it on a diet while were at it.

Made a trip to Springfield to pick up my buddy's 62 ragtop from the paint shop. Also hook up for lunch with Randall (thanks for buying lunch) and Jackson (thanks for helping Wendy with her dad's stuff) it was a great trip.

Licking my calf! Solvent pop i assume. Just wasn't pleased with it. I've been walking by it everyday, pretending it wasn't there lol. Everything else is painted, sanded it down to respray it Wednesday. 20230918_164519.jpg
