As the old saying goes, a day late and a dollar short, I got a call from Bobby last night and he said we could use his shop Saturday to change the wheel bearings and I see you are well on your way home.

The east coast weather is turning snotty fast. We had loads of seagulls inland by me yesterday, they are a full day in front of the weatherman.

That is in Newberry Springs, CA - near Barstow, CA - A long way from Southeast Arizona.

 

We're in Shamrock....still have to cross the thin part of Texas, and all of New Mexico.

 

Surely you got a pic of the car at the cool gas station in Shamrock? Or, maybe it was too dark for that? Sounds like you are making good progress.

 

we're across the street from the U drop inn. It's still dark...but we'll get a few pics there on the way out, maybe.

this was last night. I had to get the picture of the Historic Texas sign in as a LeMons Rally joke, a few years ago we did the World Tour of Texas in an off topic car, and had to take pictures of every one of those signs we could find. What a nightmare!

There's a great little diner in the town across from the Udrop. Doesn't look like much but there's a lot of local pickup trucks out front.
