Ir's always nice to see a hot rod or custom survive as it was built after all these years, beautiful car then and impressive car now. HRP
found it https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/ctd/d/henderson-1950-chevrolet-custom-coupe/7661488624.html
that car was at all the indoor shows here in the Bay Area back in the late 70's. pretty sure this is the Cow Palace S. San Francisco show '77 or '78 I would say if it had been redone since the magazine shot it was redone in the 70's
*****in Chevy! Glad to see it survived in it's original form! Good to see it with full wheel covers too. That shot of it with rally caps is sinful.
I've always loved this car since the first time I saw it. bought the magazine when I was about 18 and still have it. if I were born rich instead of handsome I'd go buy it. here it is with about a 3" drop
Man that’s snazzy Looks like it’s going 200 mph just sitting there , it’s got the “ look” for sure !!!
still for sale, the CL ad expired is all https://dyler.com/cars/chevrolet/cu...hevrolet-custom-coupe-coupe-1950-red-for-sale
How fast can I sell my Kidney…if you only knew how many times I poured over those Custom Cars little books…to own an actual cover car would be a life changing thing for me..I hope who ever buys it, doesn’t mess it up
Beautiful, Great to see that it didn't suffer with updates over the years. Thanks for saving this example of Custom Culture!
LOVE this one, this is one that I would still love the design if it was built yesterday, but is all that much better that it has period history. The paintwork on the underside of the hood is great! $49K isn't even bad considering the quality of the work and the history behind it, I know plenty of people who've dumped more money into lesser cars.
