Event Coverage Gathering at the ROC 2023 ROLL CALL.

Good, that makes two of us....there is a wonderful self service car wash there and mine will get the first wash since this time last year there
Looking forward to seeing all you hoodlums.....so far I haven't left my gas cap at a station or any parts on the highway.....

 

Makes three I hosed it off and wiped it down, leaving about 10 or 11 and be there by 5 hopefully.

 

My son cleaned the engine bay for me. The best it’s looked since I got it from Rex Rods! We are heading to #the_gathering_at_the_roc early Friday morning. Will be there ready for the realizability run. (That’s what spell check said and I’m sticking with it).

I’m stuck at work today, but I would like to thank everyone for the mechanical symphony next door this morning. It made for a nice soundtrack to the workday. The Hilton is always a nice side trip to the parking lot on days like this.

My coworkers are not car folk and kept wondering what that racket was.

I can explain it to ya, but I cannot understand it for ya.

Anyway, thanks again from a cubicle across the way.

There were a few awards given all of which were very cool. Maybe someone will post pics of them since I didn’t take any. There was even an award for the best award. However, we gave this award away to a guy (Joe) that drove his flathead-powered 35 coupe from Boston arriving not long before the Friday night awards. Car started as a barn find and he turned it into a way cool driver. He is 27 and brought his mom with him. Neither of them had ever been further west than Ohio and they were enjoying their adventure to the Gathering at the Roc.

 

That old Ford from Boston is quite a story, thanks @guthriesmith .

 

I'd have killed to have made it up there. That parking lot alone blows away 99% of car shows. Unbelievable.

Made it home late afternoon yesterday after some “adventure” in driving an old car. Show was phenomenal they registered 500 cars and the quality didn’t drop an ounce from last years 250. If anything it went up.

very good time. Gotta go Thursday afternoon threw Sunday morning to even feel like you maybe saw it all. I’m still seeing photos of stuff I didn’t even notice.

 

Was a great event, all weekend long.
