I'll bet if we had a chance to ride in one of those "stockers", we'd find out for sure that it's not. :)

What a great looking Bantam! Those "headers" remind me of what my brother ran on his chopped and channeled 30 Model A Coupe with 401 Buick in 1963 when running at Woodburn Dragstrip (Oregon).

The Bantam reminds me of Don Jacksons' car.

I redid this one a while back, it was originally built in the late 60's: 114.JPG

  28. Went to a swapmeet in Independence MO. today. I'm always looking for "T" stuff. As soon as I walked in I saw a Pink "T" bucket body. When I got to it, it was basically a complete disassembled fad "T", pretty much everything but wheels and tires I think, they might have been there too though. The frame crossmembers were cut out, the bed had been cut off the body, the rear crossmember was cut almost all the way through. It still had a pretty nice interior, street rod style though. Well the story I got was the car was bought at Mecums for $12,000.00. The guy wanted a bobber, took it home and tore it apart and started cutting it up, then got sick. Also no title. Pretty sure it had to have a title to be sold at Mecums. I thought how stupid it was to buy this car and tear it all apart like that. Even though it's not a HAMB friendly car it's still a shame. I think for $12,000.00 a Speedway kit could have been bought and built. Not the first time I've seen this type of stupidity though, it happens way to many times.
