Eight pages on the restored Panella Anglia.
A cool reprint of a vintage article on belly tankers. And an article on the big block installation in Project X(I won’t post those pictures because it is mostly too modern but it is good to loose the awful EV) and an article on an experimental overhead cam Pontiac v8 and an all aluminum 427 Chevy that are just a little too new for this place but still great reading

I pulled it out of the mailbox when I was headed to Maryhill this morning. I saw the Anglea but will have to read the article later. I've followed Project X since day one in PHR and liked some things and didn't like some things but we will see how it does on the power tour and then drag week and wait for what's next.

I have an idea for an e-mag. You answer a questionnaire and submit some pictures of your cars and Hot Rod "AI" writes an entire magazine just for me, about me, starring me. Then I can share it to my feed and twit the trending and stuff like that.

The issue with Coby @Church's 34 on the cover is still at the news agent here, bought it the other day. Nice to see some interesting articles.

I'm not sure how serious you are but I think that's a great idea.
I love an actual magazine but I'll read it maybe 3 times. After that I can't bring myself to throw it in the recycle bin and I don't want to store it with all the magazines from the last 50 years I can't part with.

Agreed. And Steven Rupp's editorial on the past page of the issue should be required reading - puts that e-swap BS in perspective I think.

Same here. I'm convinced that @Moriarity must have some extra pull that we mere mortals lack! ;):D

I came up with the idea of featuring a reader's car using the cover art work and captions. We did a couple of prototypes for HOT ROD and ROAD & TRACK. Problem was poor photo quality from readers and production costs that exceeded the price point.

Hot Rod has sure turned around under McGann from the days when every second car seemed to be a Camaro and every other article was about increasing your quarter mile times. It turned from something I couldn't relate to into an enjoyable mag.

Still waiting on mine! McGann does GREAT considering what he has to work with. I will always love the smell and feel of new/ old print magazines! If they crash, you may lose a cover/ centerfold, unlike all your hard work going up into some "cloud".....

I signed up after Moriarty for posted about Hot Rod. Even got my recent issue on Saturday! I quickly scanned it as it was a busy weekend for us. Now sitting back in the easy chair and seriously going through it!

Already subscribed, but haven't seen this issue yet? Honestly I rarely find anything of interest in HotRod and haven't planned on renewing my subscription when it ends. Tired of reading about yet another LS swap into any year of car, or the latest greatest EFI to buy.

As a note I stopped collecting at Dec 2000 issue, whole span is keeping one corner of the attic in alignment.. Keep them around for year or two then bundle and giveaway or throw out which ever option is available. For some variety I visit B&N with a large pizza and pursue current non HRM offerings, hit or miss..
