I don't recall any pix posted of the very cool grocery store in Preston, KY. I didn't take any photos but here's what it looks like in Google Earth. If you're ever in the neighborhood I HIGHLY recommend you stop in.

Note: I tried to get this to show up without using a link but so far haven't figured out how to do so.

EDIT: see the next post by Squirrel.

  6. Congratulations to you and your wife for pulling this off! Sounds like it was a ton of work, all on a volunteer basis. Well done!

The 421 gets about 16 with the3-00 gears when I am nice to it! We took secondary roads and is about 600 miles there. When I open the other carbs Who knows but the fun factor is way up there! LOL Gary

My method of giving door prizes was less than conventional lol.. Williams paint supply really helped out with the buffing setup and the shirts, they're truly "mom and pop"... it's Duane and Angie, and they're great people. And thank you for my gift! @atch brought me a set of license plates with my name on them, hell I thought I was the only Lloyd around! It was great hanging out with you, and everybody else, I really had a great weekend, and I loved your little car man!

I did, too. I bought a "length of El Camino" batch of tickets and won the 50-50 drawing. I tried to donate my half to Lloyd to go towards next year's show and he wouldn't take it.

That's a good man right there.

Lol out of control brother!! After buying beer, bourbon, ice, and other odds and ends that Ashley ran after, I gave the track $340. I've got about 15 shirts left, and a few dash plaques. Maybe 3 of the beer cozies. It all worked out. Tim told me that everybody at the track was asking what was going on over there, he said it's a bunch of hot rod guys having a party. He said that a bunch of them said if they had known they would've brought there hot rods and partied with us! I told him it was kinda invitation only for the group. He said that next year I should make a flyer that he can post with the requirements and maybe those guys will join the group. I told him we might do that. Hell we might fill that whole field with hot rods man!! I think next year I'll get kegs lol

So Randy buys all these tickets, then realizes he has to sign each one of them!

And the boy that sung for us sent me a text thanking us for having him there. I gave him $100. He's a good kid.

Guess we should've done car numbers! But it would've been easier if Walmart would've had the double row tickets :D

This picture right here is my darlin' Sherry. She's somewhat ambivalent about the cars; but give her a chance to shop and watch out! She did buy some tomatoes and won't let me eat them; they are for a recipe she's going to make. Bless her sweet heart, she also bought me a "Mounds" to snack on. Love that woman to the moon and back. I don't know what Lloyd was looking at but he looked pretty serious about it.

And nobody will care, but that's me with the pony tail sticking out of the ball cap in the background. I sure hope taking this pic didn't break Steve's camera.

  21. Lloyd math is bout like toilet paper math
    $1 = 1 ticket
    $10 = 25 tickets
    $20 = 20 feet of tickets.

guyswere cramping up writing their name on tickets.

might need Aspercream or something next year

Of course, I stayed at the track and watched the drags and it was cool hanging out with Cob, but Lloyd never said anything about the store having Liverwurst in the meat case .

@mad mikey please don't take that remark negatively because you weren't able to make it. It was meant as a compliment!
