So my 30 year project is complete, other than a few small details. This is the project that allways got pushed to the back of the shop, so it took forever. So here are the details of the build. She is a 1950 Mercury 2 door that started out as a fairly solid body and frame. I chopped 4 inches out of the front and 5 out of the rear roof. I did a 2 inch section through the middle of the body and suicide doors. She has a 460 and c6 followed by a 9 inch rear end. [IMG]

Nothing looks better than a Black Merc with an all
White interior… what takes it over the top for me is the absence of dummy or real spot lights which always ruined the flow of the body/top lines.

Stunning really...and without skirts proof that they can rock either way...The section is sizable yet very subtle to my eyes...you nailed it...hope to see more...

    Really nice!
I‘ve never seen such a double side mirror. Is it to see the traffic lights?

That mirror will give you sight of the oncoming lane to see if passing the car in front of you can be done safely. Seldom seen 50’s accessory these days.

Beautiful. That mirror is called a Passing Eye mirror. They used to show up on Ebay every now and then, but I haven't checked lately. Nice ones weren't cheap.
