Mickey Brown's "Pickle Jar" GMC six powered truck belongs here....he has a YouTube up on his "Paper to Pavement", plus a great Instagram. He truly comes off as a well deserving guy, scratch building these vehicles.....I dare say, some Roth to him!

Yessir...don't need no stinking jackstands...I believe I've been guilty of it...I remember working in a wrecking yard and taking a driveshaft out of a big tank of a car with two bumper jacks...those ones that hooked under...I am not that adventurous any more...:)

3D model Gary...still digital but different...

Many a Hotrod Custom started on the drawing board...some builder's have the vision within their mind without a doubt...

With a 3D model if you had a big enough printer you could print that to any scale you wanted...

...It's rough around the edges...banger powered...but looks pretty gangster.

Reminds me of a sidekick to @MrModelT's vintage Hop-Up...

It's really amazing how beautiful a near stocker is with a few Hotrod tweaks added...are these stock A Wires or 32...

This is in NZ by the way...

I'd love to have one in my collection...

Wheels & Stance, That's where it all starts and without it the rest is a waste of effort.

  10. Post 641 has a lot of chatter. The car was built by Canadian Larry Wendt, who I am happy to say is alive and still working on hot rods. He is indeed sitting behind the car in that picture. This is his latest effort, hold company with a mid fifties t-bird and Mercury pickup. With the EJ headlights, and three on the column, 00CB0793-7C48-41FC-A2A9-302085AA36A2.jpeg you can see he still likes to push the envelope.

Thanks for that Update, Days Late...;)

    I took that pic...

That's really digging back in the Thread...but well worth it as there's some epic rides within...Say hi to him for us...:)

I'll share that link so they know what we're talking about...a Hamber chimed in later and shared a spread in a Streetrodder Mag on it...

Anybody know about this...it looks to be the late 40s, early 50s...reminds me a bit of Winfields Coupe but much less boxy as it looks to be a 30s body...even a bit like the Chrisman Coupe...

    Paging @4woody

    @Six Ball, @studebakerjoe, @Jimmy B,

It reminds me of an Eagles Head with the graphic...

Flow comes to mind when I look at this...he can look at parts and envision them in complete reverse of the oem and creates magic...

Question...to y'all...do you think this is chopped...I'm thinking it is but only an inch or two...Hamber Pete just acquired an East Coast Hotrod shell and is looking for pics in its heyday...this one looks close but his is unchopped...

Early on at the dry lakes guys drove out in their daily drivers and removed everything they thought slowed them down, fenders, bumpers, lights, windshields, tops,.........Then put them back on to be legal on the way home. This may not be one of those but the license plate and so much missing stuff sure suggests at least some parts were in a pile somewhere near by.

...Shared by Hamber @Bangeaux bob in a Thread years ago...Just a mild Hop-Up, Equipped with a B Engine and some later model shoes...pretty neat pre war go fast but wait, there's something a little more special that puts it on a whole other level...here's a hint below...

    springtime in Alaska 046.jpg
...the Prop cap is a poke at that...

...this is the B Engine under the hood...

It is a Funk Aircraft Engine which is a modded Model B 4 cylinder...that Funk did in 1934 and made available around 35/36...

Now there is something missing on this Truck engine that was unique to the Funk rework...that would be the aluminum head with 2 plugs per cylinder and it's special distributor...but the engine was a crated Funk Engine as the Story goes...
