That is an airplane hanger at Mines Field, CA used as the impound area after the 1934 stock car road race. The cars are being inspected post race to verify their stock engine specifications.
We had Helms Bakery trucks way out in Anaheim. I didn't phrase the whistle and the ice cream truck music right. Both used the same technique cruising through neighborhoods with different sounds. The Helms truck could not be mistaken for an ice cream truck or visa versa. I wonder how many people know milk and other items were delivered to your door before anyone ever heard heard of a cell phone
Yup and a real treat was when it froze on the back steps and the cream stood up out the top of the bottle. Real iced cream.
