Halloween weekend is upon us and the neighborhood kids will be out in full regalia. These days, are a little different than back in the early kid days, when our large bags with handles were full of neighbors’ candy. We went for blocks around our Westside of Long Beach neighborhood. These days, a lot of local shopping malls, (outdoors or indoors) have set up merchant Halloween decorations and have invited all kids/parents to a safe and sane trick or treating.

In September, I drew a custom Halloween “Hot Rod HAMBster” cruiser from the original book we used to read to our granddaughter. But, this time, it is a full custom open bean shaped, custom flamed roadster being chased by Mr. Pumpkinhead and his safety hot rod racer throughout the streets of So Cal.

This bean shape and design would make cool version for car shows and book store displays… green or black or even Mr. Pumpkinhead version… ha!

Raif maneuvered the midcentury monolith into parking lot of the defunct motel.
Tapping the plasma gauge, he smirked "More smiles per mile with plasma."
The land yacht was nearly dead and other than the brilliant green neon flickering "vacancy" on the marquee.... there were no signs of life. He tapped the steering wheel, slamming the floor shift into park and killed the ignition.
"Tonight, we rest ole' girl."

Hi guys,
I haven’t posted anything on here for years, mainly because I’ve never got anything HAMB friendly, so I tend to just admire the cool artwork you all post up from afar.

Well, I’ve been off work for the last few weeks recovering from a shoulder operation, so I’ve been able to sit down and paint….something I never seem to be able to do.

The coupe is owned and built by a friend of mine, and I’ve wanted to draw/paint it ever since Neil put it back on the roads, just never had the time!

Anyhow, here goes….

 

Maybe you need glasses! He he.
