Technical 1955 Dodge HEMI engine removal points

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by J.Fishbeck, Nov 2, 2023.

  1. The pictures are of the psngr front and the Drvr rr of the cyl heads. I need to make brackets, in order to hook up the cherry picker. Is this a suitable area to mount those brackets, is my question..

Here is an option that worked for me.
Stable and easy to set up and balance. Just need one strap.

  7. I have one of those straps at the shop. I'll check things out and see if I can't make that work. Thanks!

I like and use a screw type leveling device. Made brackets for the 2 engines bending the to clear rocker covers it left on. Straps are good.

With a Chevy water pump you have block off plates on each end of the heads that a plate could eastly be made toto lift the motor. With a Chevy water pump and aluminum intake you are only around 550 lbs. I love the intake who made if?
