The Lorelie Rock(excuse spelling) on the Rhine River in Germany. If I remember right,there is a statue there of a mermaid? who had superstitious connection with sailors. You'll need to google the actual origins of it,or that bloke from Sweden can likely help out. My little knowledge comes from motoring by on a cruise in 2008.
