VINTAGE SHOTS FROM DAYS GONE BY! (Part 2)

One of the most popular grille bars of all times in the 50s. Found on so many custom car's of that era.

 

There were cylinder heads and injectors cast like these for SBC’s in the late 70’s or early 80’s for sprint cars but they didn’t have the same power off the corners. A friend of mine had a set and wanted to run them on an engine at Bonneville but never did.

I don’t think many today do not realize there were oil pumping units everywhere in Southern California up into the 50’s and later. Many neighborhoods would have them.

 

Should have remained Talbert. It’s not in a valley and we’ve never had a decent fountain.

 

There should have pulled the “Long Long Trailer” with that truck instead of the 54 Merc/Lincoln
