@Robert Pierce, I saw Willy a couple months ago driving a Jimmie Shine built '57 150, for sale of course. The old vette is gone but the hood off it is hanging in the race shop in Bonner Springs. He still has (well, bought it back) the red '62 Bel Air.

Man I have never seen so many corvette with the shaved front lights like my 64 has. I believe mine was drag raced in the late 60's with a swapped big block and had a blower added in the 70's based on the mounts and the curs in the hood.. Fenders were flared and arched around that time as well.

San Diego is not too terribly far from The Great Wet North, wonder if your Corvette made the trip South.
I don't know if it was a 63, 64 or 65, but I knew a guy in the early 70's with a Corvette here in the Portland area that had the headlights mounted like yours and I'm sure there were a lot done but I do remember him saying it had a 66 "competition" nose on it.
Would that have been a Chevrolet issued nose or an aftermarket item?
