[/ QUOTE ] in '77? i dropped out of high school, started workin' with bands, 'THE NUNS', among others in the s.f. bay area, skateboarded, got my first car... the rest is kind of a blur oh, somewhere in that year, + or -, i heard my first CRASS record. it was nothing like what i was hearing in the 'frisco area. so, maybe i should say they are a sentimental favorite.now, what were you doing in '77? also, PLAN9 mentioned 'STATFORD MERCANARIES' i never saw CRASS play but it was cool to see STEVE IGNORANT play with them, and GARY DIRT,too.

I am going to a Black Flag reunion tonight. I only saw them with Henry, so it might be interesting. Although I think Dez is the only singer going to be there. Hope Chuck is their on bass.

The Black flag show is at the Hollywood Palladium tonite and tomorrow. It is a benifit for cats.

I guess Greg is a big cat lover.

No hurry on the motor info, it sure would look good in my truck though.

As far as Oi goes, one of my faves is The Last Resort. Had Roi pearce on vocals who also did great work with the 4 skins.

Also Menance and cock sparrer were it.

Gray Matter - what an amazing band. Their final album Thog was pure genius. I can't believe no one has even mentioned Reagan Youth. Or the Descendents for that matter.

GRAY MATTER was on dischord records in the late eighties.... believe I saw them on tour with fugazi, around 87.

    MENACE fucking ruled.. for sure....

BUT man, what about the ANGELIC UPSTARTS doing all the RAD slow FOLK styled shit, about the DOCKS, and the STRIKES and the ENGLISH..

    THE SMOKING POPES....

a really good Oi! styled band is GOING to be the TEMPLARS from NEW YORK city.......... or the REDUCERS from san francisco//........

and the BEST NEW WAY+VE song ever WRITTEN is going to "I GOT YOUR NUMBER" by COCK SPARRER

The Disasters rule. They're playing down here soon.

I saw CRASS play back in the day. Lemme tell you that I think I their politics and everything they stood for was, and has been proven historicaly, to be a pile of shit. But live they were an amazingly intense experience. In fact the place was in danger of having the ceiling collapse, no lie.

The only 4Skins I liked were the disco 4Skins from NYC in 1980, that was some grooving shit.

I really Wire and The Fall.

Ditto on both Angelic Upstarts, Wire and The Fall.

I saw Wire only a year or so ago here in Oslo. They were almost better with todays guitarbased industrysound, than back when as a punk band. I think that show was really a huge positive surprise.

EXPLOITED just played here in Oslo a couple of weeks a go. I didnt go. Lost whatever interest for them I had I guess. Same with Crass.

I have hower bought tickets to Blondie in october...
