    Hello,

Nice background from a movie during the 60s. The distinct tower behind the two supposedly teenagers at the beach was taken in So Cal, near the current Bolsa Chica State Beach property. It is the last house prior to the old days when the beach was called “Tin Can Beach.”

The Lookout House in Sunset Beach... “The Crooked House” as it is now.

“It was once a train depot station for the Red Car Line from Long Beach to Newport Beach and then used as a lookout post for submarines during World War II,”

“The Old Lookout House”… This is the first home South of Warner Avenue on the Oceanfront. It was built in 1938. The structure’s second story tower is attached by cables to keep it in place. After the war, it was sold and has since been used as a residence.

At one end of Sunset Beach there is the tall Water Tower and at the other end another historic, small three story building right on the beach. In this case, adding to the character is the aesthetic beauty of the coastal location.

“Wild tales of Prohibition-era rum-running paint Sunset Beach’s rich history, beginning at Warner Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The charming seaside community maintains its allure and unique identity.”

If you google it Elvis is mentioned first.. as for the writing about it … it’s a toss up.. argue either way…….
There is no argument that Bob Wills was the “King of Western Swing”..
