I’d drive it as is! Hight and rake look great, any lower and a raised manhole cover could wipe it out.
I picked it up just north of the Oregon boarder in Longview WA. But it was an Oregon car for a long time.
Not much for updates on the car. Sorted out some electrical gremlins for the lights, a couple bad grounds on the headlights, a voltage drop to the taillights and a missing wire to the dash lights. All are working properly now. Installed a Edelbrock Sling Shot intake, still need to complete the choke and throttle rods and the fuel lines. Also got the Posie front and rear reverse eye springs. painted them up and installed them this weekend. Front came down another 1" for a total of 3". Supper happy with the height. But the rear actually came up 1.75" from where it was. It had a stock OEM spring that had been reverse eyed from what I could tell only lowered the rear 1" before. The Posie is supposed to be a 2.5" drop. But I don't think it is. I know it will settle, but not that much. So I will have to figure that out latter. House renovations have priority until Christmas, so the car will have to wait. Here are a couple pics.
Vern Tardel sells lowering shackles. When I had my ‘39 I setup the rear with the same spring you are using, 2” lowering shackles, Bob Drake rear anti sway bar and modern style tube shocks. I had Firestone 750’s tucked in.
Shay @ Pre-Sixties had some NOS lowering shackle kits a while ago, maybe he still does. www.pre60s.com
Car belonged to Jim Westrick from Longview, Washington. He claimed that the reason he bought it was the original paint on the car. I'm guessing that you bought it from his estate after his passing.
That coupe is sah-weeet! I've used Vern's lowering shackles and yeah, they will do the trick for you. Keep us posted!
Toolz, here are the only interior pics I have at the moment. The car is under a car cover right now due to house renovations taking priority for now.

I sand blasted the wheels and powder coated them. The green wheels just looked a bit too much "Army Truck" for me Very happy with the color. I think it will great with the white walls. Powder coated the drums and polished the stock lug nuts. Will be running beauty rings and no hub caps Hopefully get the tires mounted this weekend if I can find time I also installed a dual master cylinder for a bit more safety. Cant wait to drive this thing
