It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the passing of Atwater Mike, long time HAMB member, rodder, friend, pseudo Uncle to my son, mentor to many and an absolute legend of the Central Valley CA. Mike passed at home last night after a bout with aggressive liver cancer. The world is a poorer place for your passing. RIP.
So sorry to hear. I had a few conversations with him and found him very knowledgeable and friendly. He will be missed.
Man, that is too many in one day on the HAMB. Will definitely miss his contributions here even though I never met him in person. Seemed like a great guy. Praying for his family.
So Very Sorry To Hear This! I had wondered why we had not hear from him lately. We are losing so many great folks in our hobby lately. R.I.P. Mike God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
Well piss. We’d PM back and forth a bit over the years. There was a thread up awhile back along the lines of “what member would you like to spend a day with”. My reply was Mike. He always had great recounts of the past in the Bay Area and his exploits. My sincere condolences to those who knew him way closer than I did.
Wow, so sad to hear this. He was a "back in the day" guy with a lot of good stories. My condolences to his family and friends. Godspeed Mike!
Well, it has been a crappy day and now this very sad news of Mike passing. Going to miss him not being here. Condolences to his family and many friends. R.I.P. Mike.
Oh No!, Mike and I both shared a interest in '54 Fords and he was a big supporter of the '54 Ford Club of America website that I ran. He had sent me a conversation recently asking how I was doing, he never mentioned his health, He was one of the most positive guys here on the hamb and his input will be greatly missed by myself and many others.
