"Cranking Motors", never heard that before, very cool. 112's? They look really clean. Those and the S-552's are the ones to have for sure. That's cool, I've got a few of these. Need to find something cool to do with them. They must have made a lot of these, and sold a lot in surplus stores or something, for as many that survive today.
Model T spindle, nothing special, but it fell out of a chunk of cement sidewalk that my son in law was crushing.
I don’t know. I served in the local Air National Guard here and they’ve flown several different airframes since the 50’s.
Well, she ain't much to look at, but she is a 64 SS car. I purchased this one today. I'm not sure what my plans are with it. I just hated for it to go to the crusher.
Straight 6 SS, interesting. Even if only some parts can be salvaged, I'm glad you could save it. There's less and less raw materials to work with each day.
I had posted this lamp that I restored awhile back. One of my wife’s friends was at our old house that it was hung in, and said she had a small table top lamp that was similar to it. She gave it to my wife yesterday, so a freebie!
Story behind this one. My wife and I were up at a very large antique mall in Winona Minnesota a few weeks back. I found an old advertising calendar that I thought was neat, and less than $10. My wife and I were making a pile of our finds on a table by the front counter. We spent at least 2 1/2 hours there, so when we left we had our pile rung up, then left. When I got home I was going through my things and realized I didn’t have my calendar, but it was on my receipt. I searched and searched, nothing. Now 3 days later, I called and asked if I had left my item there. The girl on the phone remembered my wife and I, but sadly didn’t find it. One of the other employees pulled up the video on their security camera, and could see the calendar sitting on the table, then it was gone when he hey fast forwarded. On a hunch they pulled the heavy table away from the counter, and there it was! They apologized and mailed it to me ( I live almost 2 hours away) and it arrived yesterday. Anyway I thought this was kinda cool. The calendar portion is from 1942.
I believe those crew oxygen tanks were used up til the B29s. In any case, well saved. I have a couple, one is going to be restored with my Uncle Bryce’s Air Force, Group, and Squadron numbers. He was a POW after his B24 got shot down.
Looks like a HAMB era wiper knob but from what? Numbers inside are 1339701 with a 6 DG across from them and the Chrysler four leaf clover logo
I've been picking around at an estate sale. I've picked some good stuff. Most of it has been picked over, but some stuff gets overlooked.
Jeep t84 trans in 1950 military shipping crate. It says rebuilt December 1950. Not sure if it's the original trans or just the old one it replaced. It was accompanied by a NOS pressure plate and clutch. I bought a Muncie 3 speed and a Saginaw 4 speed with it
Stuff for the man cave. I love old thermometers, and have a few hung up around the place. No idea where the one on the left came from, doesn’t look too old. The one on the right was hanging in my parents garage in Chicago back in the 70’s. Middle one I picked up last year, but just found it.
I was at my Moms house yesterday and she asked me if this trophy was mine, Do you guys remember at the indoor car shows in the 70's the drag strip game? there were bucket seats and 4 speed shifters and a christmas tree start. There were rows of lights up above in 4 colors (one color for each player), when the game started you were in first gear and the lights started on the left and moved right, when the light turned from a color to white you had to shift. if you shifted too soon the light stopped short and if you didn't shift the light stayed at the white spot. there were 4 gears. I have tried and tried in the past but have never been able to find a picture on one of those games... sure would be cool to have one...
Definitely not a place on a rr. Those art deco mirrors belong on a chopped 39-40 Lincoln coupe or other slooper……don’t be a fool bro…..
My guess is it is some $5.00 International Harvester part and not an Original paint $500. Indian Motorcycle part. But what is it? Thanks, Happy New Year! Bob
It bolts under the seat or onto the floor of a tractor to hold an umbrella . The upright of the umbrella goes into the clamp . If there’s a IH or IHC cast on it it’s International. If there’s a JD cast on it it’s John Deere . If there’s no manufacturer logo cast on it it’s a aftermarket piece . I’ve tried to find a picture of one in use but all I’ve found is umbrella holders for the entryway of a house .
