So..I have a question. If you wack the roof of off this Buick, cover up the interior bay with steel sheet, ad a low windshield and a headrest only, would it still be classed in the Gas Competition Coupe (GCC) class or would it be Modified Sport or Lakester or what? Help needed.
Without the top there is no class for it. Even tho we have a Streamliner class ( minimum 2 covered wheel/tire) there are no stock body parts allowed. Time only if it meets safety specifications. Its already in the modified class as a CC Competition Coupe which allows the most modifications. Even if it “became” a convertible they are required to run with the top up.
Jimmy how does that explain the pic in the book Marty shared as its top is absent...just an observation...
The picture in the book may have been selected by a person picking a photo with the CC on it, not knowing the complexity of the class. These things happen -- I know. The car was probably allowed to run "Time Only" even though it had the wrong category on the side. It would never escape scrutiny in Impound if it ever tried to set a proper CC record (not likely).
Wouldn't that be called one of a kind...talk about a eye twister...real cool and sneaky...really allows for some crazy mods.
I guess its actually stock body the paint makes the 56 eyetwist...or is it...kinda looks like real 56 tailights...
My lil brother an I grew up riding in the back of one as kid's, my dad bought new... Try that today.. h-hee An both parents smoking...
