Post your unique part, document autographs that you were lucky to get.

Big John Mazmanian @ Thompson Dragway.
    Around 2006.

He commented, he did not know they were authorized to use his name. So he said I'll break out my gold marker for this one..

Aurora T Jet Big John Mazmanian model.

Great thread topic, I'll be back with a few. Bob

Back in the 1970's I started taking my Jack Fox INDY 500 book to vintage race meets to get INDY 500 drivers autographs. Floyd Davis is the only winner I ever meet. Bunny Phillips would stop in the shop I worked at, saw his restored car at Pebble Beach a few years ago.

I crewed on Tom Motry’s F/A for 10 years, he learned his craft from Austin Coil. Tom went out to the NHRA Finals in 2006 when John Force won his 14th FC Championship but Coil signed it 16X for the two he had with the Chi Town Hustler ;) John was probably not amused. Jimmy Prock signed it too.

I was at the fomoso chrr a few years ago in the swap meet buying a Ivo 4 engine dragster kit, Tommy grabs it out of my hands and signs it. My reply, Thanks Tommy, now I can’t build it. I should find that kit now that I think about it

I sent this original 1962 Isky class winners poster to Ed in 2001, it measures 30 x 42. He had some duped full size and when he returned it he sent me a half dozen along with some other stuff. He also had smaller ones printed as hand outs. I took it with me to the 2017 Melt Down Drags where Ed signed it again along with Bones.

This is an actual window from Roth’s shop in Maywood. There’s metal flake overspray, part of a t shirt silkscreen and an old car show advertisement. Also roth’s signature

I started this after I bought my first Willys over 20 years ago. I would carry this to the nostalgia meets I went to. It's hard to photograph because of glare and I don't like to handle it too much.
Ohio George Montgomery - Big John Mazmanian - Bones Balogh - K.S. Pittman - Gene Altizer - Fred Bear - Dave Hales - Pork Zartman - Jack Coonrod - Chuck Finders - Bob Panella - Ed Iskenderian - Barb Hamilton - Jr Thompson - Jerry Mallicoat - Jim Shores - Al Phifer - Tom Prock. After a few passed on I started taking photos of the person signing. I have a ton of t-shirts and paper items also but that would take forever to dig out.

I only have a couple. Don Garlits from when we had him at the Mopars at the Motorplex race in 2011 and Butch Leals book that came out after I had built his web site for him. www.butchleal.com

  20. I have several from the drag racing community plus a few notable magazine types, Tom Medly, Linda Vaughn etc etc
    Here's a couple quick pictures

The Linda Vaughn signing was the most memorable wink wink

Mine are mostly Track Roadster builders and racers, with a famous photographer or two in the mix. Greg Sharp got me Jim Rathman's, but the rest were friends, along with the greats I got to meet. Names like Dick Craft, Walt James, Len Sutton, Rolla Vollstedt. And others like Keith Randol, who built the Orange Crate. I am especially proud of Pat's, after we reunited after a long spell, that kindled the fire to build the Spalding Copy. And all the fun notes he would send on the Rod & Custom stationery., along with the number of checks he signed. Got a pile of stuff from Al Drake, always signed. And it's not an autograph, but something better from Blackie with offers to display in his show. I have a t shirt of my late son's tucked away somewhere signed by Dennis Gage of "My Classic Car".
I've never been into autographs myself.
