I’m torn but I’m my biggest critic and I’ve stared at it by myself all day.

Everyone starts someplace, and you started off very nicely, good job.

I believe that's how Larry Watson got started. Couldn't afford to have it done, so did it himself. Look where he ended up.

Wow, nice work. Matching symmetrically has to be tough and you did it well.

There isn't a right or wrong way to do this. Just keep doing what you are doing.

  14. Man that looks great from here. If you free handed it you have something to work with to help fund your projects.

I've been contemplating doing pinstripes on my 1960 Mercury Monterey ragtop. I'm going for it!

I do some striping. I like your design. What brush did you use? It looks like maybe not a striping brush. If so, get a few (like Macks) and keep practicing. The longer hairs on the striping brush help keep the lines uniform without the little whiskers.

Good, nice? Well, I couldn’t put a stick on thing that looks that nice.
If you’re grading yourself, move along to the top of the class.

  22. it’s not the brush, it’s just me being not very good. I use a Mack king 13 000

  23. To clarify, I used a Roth design to copy and just added a bit to it. Using a Mack brush and one shot paint for white and alpha enamel gray and gold mixed together.
I’ve played around a little but this my first time actually aiming at something sorta important. But it’s just paint can always sand it off.

I really appreciate the feedback guys! Thanks

Nicely done. I'd say you have the ability and could develop into a pro. How are your straight lines?

  26. Not perfect, but I have a buegler so if I got to do straight line I use the beugler and it makes it easier

As a pinstriper myself. I will say first of all. I credit everyone that does it themselves! Awesome! My honest opinion. That trunk has so much available real estate, so to me it almost seems too small. But it still looks good.
