Ringhold Ga. Just Beyond the 225, sat this beautiful complete Caddy. Owner said he remembered a family member driving it to that spot in the 1960s. 20231210_130817.jpg 20231210_130843.jpg

That will make a neat car! It's amazing the hood ornament survived. They are pretty fragile.

Interesting, appears to be a '56 front clip from a senior series car, like an Executive, on a low-line '55 Clipper body. Still has one good tail light bezel on it, would be a good piece to save for a custom.

My buddy in HS (67-68) had a ex Ohio State patrol car his Dad got at an auction! It was a 66 Custom 300 4 door. It had about a million miles on it but it was a 427 with a C6, burned a little oil but we sure had a lot of fun with it until it blew up! Junked the car, he saved the drive train. Lost track of him after school and got to work for Uncle Sam for a couple years. Tried to locate him since for over 50 years now with no luck.

Its very close but not the same .
were the windshield post mounts to the stanchions on the cowl are different .

Im not 100% sure the cowl and the rear half are the from the same vehicle
the rear might be correct but it looks a bit short .
I should get better pictures and do a separate thread on it some time .

Ringgold GA. Not enough for me to identify the year but the earliest Packard in the yard, that's still a car. 20231210_131607.jpg

Ringgold GA. The other side of the yard is full of oddball stuff, like this Desoto. A man purchased the grille, and hemi, the day before we got there. 20231210_132031.jpg

Ringgold GA. I was in love with this finned Mercedes. Always wanted to sled one of these out. This one was unfortunately too soggy for me. 20231210_132203.jpg

Nice to hear it sounds like at least some of these cars are getting stripped for parts.
