I think I need a tunnel ram to balance out these ridiculous headers.

Or a taller-ish stock car style air cleaner.

I can definitely run a 4" tall filter and maybe a 1" spacer. Here's a 3" filter. Or maybe I fab an air cleaner to fit up in the hood scoop...

I need to start on an accelerator pedal. I had this lying around but I have no idea on the source. Does anyone know what it came from?

Is that a Blue Thunder intake?

A single tunnel ram would be a viable option.

Yes. It's supposed to be good to 6500 rpm. It should work well on the street.

I swapped over to try a 4150 base Victor on my 500 BBF. I’m not sold on it and more than likely going switch back to my Weiand Stealth. Part of the issue besides being a single plane high rpm intake is the mis-match on the ports due to the Victor using CJ centers rather than regular 429-460 centres. There is about 1/4” overlap on 4 ports. I’m not about to start grinding away on my heads to correct it either.

The Blue Thunder is supposed to be a pretty good intake. Could experiment with spacers or trim down the divider to see what works best.

The velocity stack makes more hp over an open carb with nothing on top, not that I'd run a single velocity stack on any single 4 intake though.

A single tunnel ram is never a good idea on anything ! Lol

That's good info. I'll run Kaase P-51 heads which are SCJ style. The Victor intake is pretty much all that Kaase and publishers have run on their published dyno pulls. Interestingly enough, Kaase ran a ported Torker II and it only gave up 30 hp to the Victor.
Since this car will be 90% street, I'll try this Blue Thunder before I spend more money. The first iteration will have a smallish cam anyway: Comp solid roller 34-770-9 with 236/242 @ .050", .650"/.657" lift. If I can get into the high 10s, I'll be happy. If not, then it's a bigger cam and a different intake.

Liking this, how did you attach them to the window channel, and is there a way of adjusting opening height, or are they either wide open or shut?

The OEM type dew wipes hold them in the window channel. They are either wide open or shut to minimize parts and weight.

The quarter glass is actually fixed in place and will not lower. I heated and bent an L-shaped piece of Lexan and bolted it in under the window to act as a shelf.

Oh, I deleted the lower horizontal channel. the pull strap is bolted straight to the window bottom.

I forgot you had P-51’s, for some reason I thought you had iron PI heads. You’re about 800-1000 lbs. lighter than my 57 so I agree you should be in the 10’s easily. I run 11.00’s with my tank.

That's encouraging. I have a set of PI heads sitting on the block now. I need to sell those to finance some more parts!

F1 clutch and brake pedals next to an early Falcon accelerator pedal. I have no idea what the accelerator linkage came from but I made it work!
I'll run a bolt on the clutch pedal to act as a pedal stop for bangin' shifts.

Man! I really want those Auburn Tires now! I think my Pro trac 60's are nice, but slightly too low profile. 33 out 3.jpg
