What I like is the FEELING that I can immerse myself in this moment when something is 'right' in this crazy world! :)

When I rode motorcycles my favorite "ride" was somewhere in rural Montana on a two lane road at 80 MPH.
The favorite part of owning my 38 Chevy is driving it. It's out of style with an 80's interior but I've had the car for fifty years and it was parked for twenty of those years in the last part of the century. I never had sun visors until @stanlow69 did them for me this summer.

The road ahead of me through the windshield.
If the sun is out while we are cruising, my driver door window is open, and my arm is resting on the window sill, its even better.
With a few friends, or all alone, its all good. That was the reason I build my stuff. 100_1053.JPG 100_0833.JPG

I have to agree with gene-koning, getting in and cruising down the road. I enjoy going to shows, cruise nights, the friendships made, the hobby has been good to me all my life. We are the lucky ones, pursuing our passion, I'm thankful and grateful for my life, have stated before, I'm a very lucky man.

My favorite part on my hotrod is not much is stock after I got done building it. Neither of them are even close to stock when I finished them.

For me, it's the simple, nekkid, sketchy, unrefined, hot rod-ness of it, the hoodlum vibe that says it shouldn't be allowed around polite society. It's that, and the way it elicits an emotional response in people. Whether they love it, hate it, don't understand it, or even if they don't know what it is, they know it's one of those things their mother warned them about.

What is your favorite part of your hot rod? Since you said hot rod, I have to answer with these. The heart and soul of a hot rod in my opinion. They gotta scoot, snort and stomp. These three do.

"Favorite Part", that would be the most recent one I found, the '31 Vicky drivers side door. It is not just the lump of tin, there is the story that goes with it and my 11 year old Grandson was there with me. All the found parts have a story, some better than others.

    The part(s) I like best........??!
The look of the wood grain (not plastic!) steering wheel and the white shifter knob coming up from the factory console......
BEST of all the snotty idle coming through the open headers of a built SBF. (If it wasn't an "M-word" I would post a picture.
At 75 years old it still- make me grin like a 'jack ass eat'in briarz'. when the secondaries pop-in !!!!!

Getting an old engine to run that’s been sitting a while. Only have done it twice, both flathead v8’s. They sound the best to me.
