I’m thinking about ordering a rubber mat from snyders ford parts for the t roadster project but was wondering if anyone out there has found something vintage looking that might be in bulk. I want to do the interior and trunk and if I go with Snyder’s I would have to order two mats at $100 a piece

I’ll be watching. I’d like to replace the mat in my Fargo. I know I can get it from “Roberts but the one I bought from them was so brittle that it started to crack/break after a couple of years! I need pyramid shape mat.

I’m not trying to say “Hi to Jack” but figured that more I put would generate more looks!

I ordered Model A Tudor uncut mats from Snyders, 1 my for my '29 A V8 Avator and also aother that I cut for use in my '33 Plymouth Coupe. Nice heavy rubber and worth the money. '29 has a '39 trans and different pedals etc so cutting my own hole was a must. Ditto for the '33 Ply.
    Good stuff!

I used the Home Depot ribbed black runner as well. Looks good and it was cheap. I just used tape on the backside to join the pieces together as I needed it just a bit wider that the 36” roll. C53ECC93-1E3B-4C54-AF3A-3D73DCA60781.jpeg

I got the pyramid stuff from Amazon. Came in 3 or 4 foot width and various length.

I got the pyramid rubber matting from this place in Pa. that I used in my '40. Think it came in 4 foot widths and any length you want if memory serves me. It was a fresh roll and was very pliable, easy to work with. 10252021_0001.jpg

I really like this look. Everyone asked me what carpet I was going to use. I told them, no carpet, pyramid rubber matting.

Well that’s EXACTLY the stuff I need. Has it stayed pliable over the years?

My daily driver deuce PU has the floor covered with a cheap black rubber exercise mat. It's wearing out but I can't seem to source a similar product. It conforms to the floor really well. I'll keep looking.

  21. Darn, I just went to the web sight and the pyramid is listed in 36" and 47" wide but says Not for Sale on both listings. Looks like a Phone call is in order come Tuesday morning.

Go to Amazon and search on "rubber floor mat roll". You'll get pages and pages of options. Here's what I used:

What I got from Amazon is what lothiandon1940 showed in his photo. Rubber-cal 03-W178-04 cost was $49 for a 4x4 piece. Was told 4 to 6 weeks but it showed up in 3 days.

Is the diamond-matting capable of conforming to curves/etc, w/some heat added? I'm guessing toeboard/tranny-humps would have to be cut/spliced/(sewn(???) to get a 1-pc "factory" look ? What would make a good thin flexible backing to glue/seal the edges onto? Carpet is nice, but a good *sealed* 1-pc rubber floor mat is very useful.
    Who'se done this already?
I also really like it for pedal inserts, looks really good.
    TIA.
    Marcus...

This is the 40 style floor but with no holes as I hung my pedal rather than have it enter through the floor.
It is the first time I didn't use carpeting., and I like it. It fits my "roadie" theme.

Up close. Who needs carpeting? Rhino liner on the hump. It has sound deadener and hemp mat under it.
    I like it.

...Just as a side note: These folks have just about every little clip or fastener that you might never find anywhere else.

I made contact with them and they no longer have the diamond mat. The story is the company that makes it has a machine built in the twenties, the company had to move to a new location and during the move the rubber machine was damaged and is not repairable.

If you would like a small pebble grain, check Lowe’s for this mat. 3/16” Thick, cuts easy with a sharp utility knife, and the one roll did my entire 32 sedan with some left over. $59 I think.

@Bandit Billy I like the shifter/hand brake "formed cover", is that a stocker that you found or a hand formed one? I'd like to finish the center/floor mounted hand brake with something similar...made me wonder if I could heat form some ABS?
