Folks Of Interest Are the Iron Lords still alive?

While we as a club still see each other weekly one thing we greatly miss is you.

We always loved having the community at our old shop and we have decided it’s long since time to create a reoccurring date and time for the community to get together.

So starting in January of 2024, we will be having Hotrods & Hotdogs at Ben’s
( @hotrodderhaag ) shop, “Bluefield Vintage “ . 3225 Bradshaw Rd Mooresville NC .

This will be the first Saturday of every month starting at 11am and going till whenever.

Bring your hotrod or bring your daily!

There will be food available, or bring a cooler and hang out.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

It looks like the 32 may be old paint but it's very similar to the "depth" of what Id like for my own project. Is this old or, if not, what's it painted with?

Glad to see you all are still hanging out at a group. It's great to see as life changes and such.

the body is Coach Maroon lacquer from the early 60’s, the fenders and decklid are just a black sealer and the hood is old lacquer primer.

hope to get it painted at some point but I’m too busy driving it now to tear it apart!

 

Good news. I'll be up for the Charlotte Auto Fair so I'm putting April 6th on my calendar to come see you guys in the afternoon.

Glad to see there's a group like you around. I'm in SE Tennessee and lucky if I can find two guys anywhere close to me that talk cars. I'm sure they're out there but they damn sure don't make themselves available. Don't anybody get me wrong, 'cause I've met some really great people on here, they're just not close enough for regular socializing. Rant over.

 

Now that sounds like a good deal. I'll be at the swap in the Orange field all weekend in my good buddy Cliff's motor home, next to the tunnel.

Now that is very cool that you are back on the HAMB. I myself have been missing from here also. But glad to say I am back. Great you guys all get to hang out one night a week and talk hot rods and get some work done. I know most of you guys from our trips to the salt every year as part of the bones group. Wish we had a few guys around here that would do the same. Welcome back

 

Ahhh yes, I got to visit your place in 21 when we went out to the salt. Deeply appreciate your hospitality and how cool your shop and your little town is! Hope to see you again sooner than later!

 

I can attest to the fact that the Iron Lords are very much alive. I got this message from @hotdamn saying he was going to be in the Chattanooga area this weekend and he'd like to meet with me for lunch. We met up at a BBQ joint not far from his mom's house and spent the better part of 3 hours just talking about cars, his 5-year-old "new" garage project, my projects and life in general. There is a large difference in our ages, but the discussion about the similarities in our lives, experiences and attitudes closed the gap. Without this site, I would never have had the chance to have met him and hear about the Iron Lords and its members, just as I would never had the good fortune to meet all the people who were at Lloydfest 2023. I look forward to meeting more of the Iron Lords and more of the HAMB membership in the coming year. Here's to the HAMB and a Happy and better New Year.

 

It was great to hang out a bit this weekend Alan! And god knows almost every great friendship I have is either a direct or indirect result of the HAMB. For ever grateful for this place!!

Shop night 1.10.24.. a trip to Delton’s space. This shop is truly one of a kind. Pictures don’t do it justice. Several years of hard work are finally coming to an end as lighting a heat finish off the build. We had a special guest make a surprise appearance last night. The one and only Ron Barbarino . Paulie made the 2 hour drive down too! It was a great night to all get together.

The 1st of many , the Iron Lords present “ Hotrods & Hotdogs”. Saturday was a gorgeous day. It was perfect weather to break out the hotrods from their winter hibernation. We had a good crowd of cars that rolled in, and lots of visitors to see what it was all about. The food was great and its simplicity seemed to be a hit. Thank you @hotrodderhaag who opened his shop and his parking lot to host our event. Thank you Delton for operating the grill and keeping the dogs cooking!

Remember everyone , the 1st Saturday of every month, at 11am! Drive , fly or walk if you have to! Always located at the Bluefield Vintage shop off of route 150 in Mooresville.
