I like Fukus! It works on so many levels!

  3. I like something like renew or redeemed, maybe free me or regen.

  4. I'd say name it "Shaft" as in "She got the elevator, I got the shaft!"

It's 5 lug. I can use either, the truck is 4 3/4", and I have adapters for 5"

  7. @SS327 ....Mine looks exactly the same, I got it at Grainger 18+ years ago & still working great. It was pricey for back then, but you get what you pay for.

Nice to see another build thread Lloyd & also great to hear from you over Christmas. Loved the "Upbeat" in your voice my friend! The shop & truck are coming along nicely.

God Bless & Happy New Year

  8. Cool truck Lloyd. The shop looks really nice, I think you will be very happy working in that space. Happy New Year big guy, drink one for me. I suggest naming the truck Repentless

Hey buddy! I've got the pieces cut to finish the supports, just haven't got to welding yet. And I gotta figure what wood I'm gonna use, actually thought about pressure treated with strips

It was good talking to you my friend!! You've been right there for me through the bullshit and I appreciate ya! Bring that Pontiac down and I'll put the straight axle under it for you :D:cool:

  12. They are yours! Let me see what I’ve got going on and I’ll bring them down. I’d love a tour of your new shop.

Shop looks awesome. I have massive shop envy looking at it…

I still like “what’s left “ for the truck name
Glad to see you back and the shop looks great.

Shit man, I'm still spending on this shop! Wish I had the money though!

  16. Once the shop is ready the money will roll in faster than you can spend it!:D

What's up Lane! Gotta get some normalcy back in my life, some oil on my hands, and some body filler on my jeans lol. Every time I walk in the shop and turn the lights on, I smile like I just screwed the neighbors cat! Not used to paying a shop lease, but it's worth it!

Just popped for some hood springs on ebay. Guess the next step should be to blow out the brake lines and see if the calipers are functional. Get the pedal box in and hang the master cylinder. It would be nice to take it down the road for a spin before February gets here :D

Way to get back up swinging! When I dragged the Chevy home, dad referred to it as "the remains" of a '57.

  20. Best thing you can do is settle into the new normal and carry on! Building cars is therapeutic! Get that truck together and no one will be able to wipe the shit eating grin off your face!

Your shop looks nice but not near dirty enough. Glad to see you back on the pickup. I hope you have better luck with hood springs than I have had. When I installed mine they completely through the hood out of alignment. Finally took them back off (hood fits good without them) and made a hood prop. Good luck with the new shop!

Lol that'll be my luck too! Hopefully not, it would be nice not to have a piece of broom handle holding the hood up :D

  24. I figure @Lloyd's paint & glass will call the truck anything he wants which is his choice. But don’t call it Shirley. Hehe.

Did anybody ever think it would be so hard to find plain old steel wheels?! What the hell happened? Lol... might sound a little crazy, but I've got the front bumper off of ruckus, and I'm thinking about trying to use it on the truck. It might be crazy enough to work. A set of old steel wheels with some white walls would make me happy. Like this picture i stole from the internet... 1954-chevrolet-3100-pickup.jpeg.jpg

Thank God and Greyhound she's gone.

  27. I’ve been looking for OE gm plain steel wheels for a year.
    Tons of 14s. No 15s.
    Lots of 5 on 5 but no 5 on 4 3/4

even found 2 NOS sets of chrome steelies.
    Ford pattern.

I can use 5 on 5. I have adapters on the truck. Or I can take them off and use 4 3/4. I'm finding truck rallies, but I don't wanna put them on it.

  29. Same here. All the car 15s I find are rally wheels :(:(

    nope
