They do….at least Ford does as a short bed. The only thing missing is a standard transmission. Just like the 53 in the photo…painted grille and bumpers. The only thing is no stepsides and the price for a 2023 is $38,000 and the basic V6.
2024 its base engine is twin turbo with 400+ hp.

  4. They offer 'em, but you'd be hard pressed to find one in stock. A friend of mine in Wisconsin needed a new pickup for farm use. He placed an order, laid out a down payment, and waited 11 MONTHS for it to be delivered (from Oct '22 to Sept '23). Both he and the dealer were pissed, but the answer from FoMoCo was that there was sooo much profit in a fully loaded pickups that they didn't have time for a plain-vanilla model. He needs to replace another pickup soon and is going through the same ordeal. The "Big Three" can make 'em, they just don't want to. $$$$$ talks, customer needs can walk!

It looked like this when I was out there 10 years ago. IMG_9956.jpeg

  8. Mikey, I used to go to Half Moon Bay Dragstrip when I lived in San Francisco in 1956-1958. I went with my neighbor, Joe Carlomagno who was a member of the San Francisco Ramblers.

  11. Check out the 682-C type headlights. They were in use back then, too.

  13. I like the 1950's, 1960's pictures as they were of a better time for most of us.
