That pic with the front of the hood lowered was definitely a step in the right direction. At least it looks like it's lower.

It's pretty amazing that the contour of the hood and the body/doors match co closely. Was that just dumb luck or did you have to tweak something to get it that close?

I measured the hood width, and narrowed the cowl to match the 41 chevy, then cut the hood to match the 51 ford.

The back was widened 4 inches with the chevy roof to make it have a taper instead of being square

It was perfect, all the details are on only 3/4 of the dash, the glove box was plain so I cut it out and kept the look

Definitely agree, I'm gonna mount the radiator 2 inches lower and that will help bring it back to that.

It was Killin me to see what it looked like with the nose down 1.5 inches more, I think it's an improvement

Rum and brainstorming don't always mix

  11. Cool idea. You're not the first. Mid 1940,s Peugeot 202 had headlights behind the grille standard.

That's kinda cool, I'm gonna run these buckets I found a while back. Mainly looking to cool the radiator

Started working on the grill, and through some scraps on the side to have a look on what to do there to 20231230_234432.jpg 20231231_200941.jpg 20231231_202443.jpg 20231231_205544.jpg 20231231_222009.jpg 20231231_223411.jpg

Might be better to see if any of the cars you bought parts off of has a title you can buy. Then just title it to match.:)

Started shaping the cowl and hood sides
Looking at it after though I think I need to cut out the shaded off spot on the last picture.

Didn't like the first way the cowl met the hood, so I changed it up a little

Is the windshield flat glass? If not you should try cutting it, so if needed you can change the shape of the metal opening.

I cut a peice of plywood to mimic the shape of a window and used that to make sure the passenger side windshield is the same shape sense it's a split windshield

When I look at your mock up I see two twin-50 caliber machine gun barrels sticking out of the sides similar to WW II combat aircraft. And maybe take it further with painted rivets and shark teeth mouth a la P40 Flying Tigers
