Waiting on the fittings and hose to start plumbing the car. The original stuff was too fancy and didn’t match at all.

I know people will hate it but I’m running a Morse throttle cable. Ended up running the bell crank below with a piece of the old linkage connected to it, and the cable to the other end. I’ll have to take another picture. There’s a mount with the Morse clamp in front of it. My buddy is making the arm off the injection. It needed to come out about 1” to get the cable to line up better. All the plumbing fittings showed up to Kaedings and I will pick up the fuel line later this week.

Looking good Brent, I guess they should be double checked for tight and only you should install them...I guess a rag stuffed in each port would help any fumbles...maybe a bug screen/domes to catch anything that might land in there as your driving it...open carb ports are always vulnerable although you have a boot and surely will use it...I'm not a racer though...I just run bug domes on my frog mouthed 94s...

I love the spartan interior (and the seat mount).

One of the very first Hot Rods I ever saw here in town @ 1965 had two seats that looked very much like that one. Did they start life as kitchen chairs?

The bolts inside the injector were usually never safety wired. For safety the original GMC gasket used between the injector and the top of the blower has a wire mesh screen so nothing could fall into the blower.

In my neighborhood those fiberglass seats were acquired at an all night laundromat. Discard the legs, fabricate mounts and you have lightweight racer seats.

Thanks Ron, The screen sure would save the rotors and case from damage.

I was told the seat came out of a bowling alley that was being demoed in the 60s

A buddy of mine is coming to wire the car. I’m waiting on a set of jets and then it’s time to fire it off finally. Here’s the next project once the coupe is done. Already a great start D4C18968-987D-4C4A-B052-9228021A5B48.jpeg 5F74FED9-2B56-45CE-9675-9D02C934ED72.jpeg DE673C75-2B4A-4A95-AC41-6ADF24925139.jpeg

Yes sir! It looks 100% better then the firewall struts, and it’s definitely not going anywhere.
