    Maybe it looks different from another angle, but it looks like the radius rod and drag link relationship is spot on to minimize bump steer. Nice, looks like a fun little T.

    Look at the roll bar! Hope he was nimble and quick at ducking...

  11. Looks more like it was suppose to be the seat back not a roll bar.

    #6. Other than the roll bar that looks like a real serious race car for back about 1950. IE; Right side steer. No fancy nose or hood. Flexable exhaust tubing. Ignition. Two engine breathers. Dropped floor. Maybe aluminum rails popular in the N E. Nice hairpins. Either an open tube rear end or floating axles. Even a race $ tire on the L F. Does anyone recognize the driver?

    I think it's a Plymouth or Dodge.

    I used a 27 R P U body for the foot room. I even widened the body 2" at the bottom for the 3 pedal foot room. I built an aluminum 23 turtle deck. Rear frame kick ups to fit tight to the body. 2 x 3 x.120 rails. 4325==rear 27 001.JPG 27 frame 001.JPG

    First year for Plymouth was 1928. So that would be a Dodge.

    Another possibility would be Overland. The bodies were identical to early Dodge, other than the door tops, & maybe the top edge of the back of the body which was (exposed)wood(higher class?). Almost all the parts will interchange, except *maybe* the w/s frames, as the posts were abit wider apart.

    @40ragtopdown & @nrgwizard,
    My own guesses were Dodge and/or Willis. But I'm no expert, just happened to look at those two makes when searching for a body for my track roadster.

    ^^^^Is that just a bad camera or parking angle? It looks like the car is broken in two places.

    the bed doesn't seem lined up vertically with the body.

    Gears;
    You weren't wrong w/your guesses. IIRC, Willys was Willys-Overland at the beginning.
    Offhand, I don't remember who supplied the bodies, but I think it was an outside supplier, who in those days usually handled design, stamping, wooding & assembly + delivery. A lot of early bodies for small-concerns, were purchased this way, & therefore very similar, if not exact. Grill shell, maybe hood tops, & small details would differentiate. Not exactly boutique stuff.

    I hadn't considered that concept. Saves space going to the rod run. Brings a chair without having to pack it...
