Proper use of a ladder, when inspecting the sand dunes, don't forget to put the out riggers down !
Way too late for this now, but you can imagine how if @Roothawg had been wearing a motorcycle helmet when on that ladder, well you get my point. Definitely something to think about.
    Get well soon Root!

Chris, I am happy to hear you got a good report from the Orthopedic doctor and you will not need surgery on the shoulder, the staples will take care of the head but what about the back? HRP

Glad this incident didn't also result in an eyepatch. That would have been way to spooky...

Get well Chris, we're all pulling for you.
By the way, if anyone is looking at l#dd&rs consider a "podium" version.
Bought one recently (for my wife).

Also, small forklifts are a wonderful thing to have, however, the shop needs to be clean enough to drive around! I have a problem with that, you probably don't.

Yea, that will leave a mark. My dad has a scar that looks a lot like that from a wreck on his Harley about 25 years ago.

I also have a big scar on my head since my youth and my father always used to say:
"With that scar you will be more interesting for the ladies!"

I had my car on the lift today, to adjust the e-brake underneath it. I made the adjustment and grabbed the ladder to get topside and try the brake. I was a couple of steps up on the ladder, thought of roothawg, got back down and lowered the lift & checked it on the ground. At 77, with a plastic hip and back problems, I gotta start being more careful.

Don't know about that, when I got the 11 stitches in my forehead, my wife wasn't too impressed.

When I arrived home from a job site with a folded up rag on top of my head held on by tape wrapped around it and down under my chin, my wife just laughed.......... then tore strips off me for driving 50-odd miles with a head injury.o_O
I now have a 4" smiley mouth scar on the top of my head.

On a side note, geebus, don't they bleed....:eek::eek:

Yeah, there will be no talk here about them coming out...:eek::eek:... don't wanna scare the poor guy. I had a 2.5" scalp wound in 2012... they glued that puppy shut... goes on real cool followed by a 90 second searing heat while it cured...

They wanted to staple mine but I wouldn't let them. The glue worked good, even though they didn't think it would.
    Superglue is some good shit.....;)
