    The SBC high-perf 327’s and 302 used an 8” damper that was 1 11/16” wide and the hi-perf 350’s (Corvette 350 horse and L-82 engines with hydraulic cams and the solid lifter LT-1) used the same damper, but the TDC mark is a different position.

    And now, just for fun, this........

    "Are you confused about the difference between dampener and damper? You’re not alone. These two words are often used interchangeably, but they actually have distinct meanings in different contexts. In this article, we’ll explore the differences between these two terms and clarify when each one should be used.

    Let’s define the terms. A dampener is a device or material used to reduce or eliminate vibrations, noise, or other unwanted effects. It can be a mechanical component, such as a shock absorber, or a material, such as soundproofing foam. A damper, on the other hand, is a device used to regulate or control the flow of a fluid or gas. It can be a valve, a baffle, or a similar mechanism."

    Sorry.......:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    A "damper" doesn't just control the flow of fluid or gas. Dampers are also used to control the flow of air. All sorts of exhaust and supply fans use dampers.

    Fuckin love it. The HAMB at it's finest yet again, but this ain't shit. Imagine being on a job when the guy you're supporting asks for a ½ dozen donkey dicks, AND you're supposed to know what they are. 500 bonus points for the 1st who does know. A clue? Another job he told me we had to put a new horse cock on the vibrator. I have to wonder what they're called now in today's climate...o_O
