Technical Where to get lifter’s resurfaced

    Most lifters are hardenable iron and mostly can be reground if they're not worn too concave.

    We don't usually bother with hydraulics, as they're a PITA to disassemble, keep all the fiddly bits in order, clean and reassemble. The exception are the old Delphi SBCs with the hardened button on the bottom. Those are still worth reworking, since they are NLA.

    My partner's side hustle is buying and selling core engines. Shred enough SBCs and they're in there. He saves them, regrinds them and uses them in engines he builds for customers. He doesn't trust the offshore new lifters which come in the engine kits.

    I quit doing anything but flathead Fords.
    Still enough original parts around to assemble a good one.
