Sitting here looking at the truck, I think I like it with just blackwalls.

I'm gonna make brackets to put the stock front bumper on it, tucked in close, and I'm gonna use the front bumper ends from my El Camino to make a rear bumper.

I like the wheels. I went with a brighter blue than the patina body on my 46, I still love it 12 years later.

Yeah that was in the cab when I hauled it back from Oklahoma! From what I found in the cab, it spent time in Colorado also

I like the way it sits and the wheels/tires fit the look! Leave the rest of it the way it is and you can just drive it. When it needs washed just drive it on a rainy day! 60 Special

  10. I think the truck looks more sinister as to say with the black walls.

One of the first things my dad did to his ‘57 Chevy PU, he put in racks. 20 some years later, it was my truck. But 20+ years of the racks having the BBW and sun beating in on them, the “rubber coating “ started to split and come apart.
    So out they went.
Besides, chicks didn’t like them, well, the cowgirls in my town did, but I didn’t like the cowgirls;)

I like the wheel color. I think you should paint the whole truck that color. White grille and bumper too with wide whites!

I also had the holes I had to weld up in the cab, because I did not have the gun rack.

I think given the choice, I would have kept the original gun racks and not welded the holes closed .... they also made great fishing rod holders.

The wheel color is purely Ford blue ..... Not my problem.

Had a gun rack in my 48 for years, pretty much a requirement to have a pickup in Texas in the 70's they work pretty good to hang a towel on to keep the sun off you when you are headed down the road with the sun to your back for hours on end too. Remembering that my first stepfather had a 4 ft level hanging on his in his 54 3100 most of the time. He was a contractor and that was the safe spot for it.

  19. Hey Brother, I love the name Trukus!!! The black walls look better in my humble opinion.

Just a heads up, I was gonna order some running board brackets, apparently they are in the same class as 32 Ford parts! Almost $600 for 6 brackets. Fuck that. I'll make em

That's stock brackets. 3 of them, which is one side, used, is $200 on ebay. That's stupidity. I have tons of angle iron and a band saw lol

I would think you are way better off building them anyhow with the later unmentionable frame:p

My frame is nobody's business lol. Engine is a 72 model. And it's got one of those faggot automatic transmissions in it. I'm nowhere near as cool as the majority here
