    Been a while… (reintroduction)

I have had this 1952 Ford coupe for about a year.

Been my daily driver mostly, so if you are South of Seattle proper and North of Olympia… you’ll see me running around.

I am interested in the 1952-1954 Ford group.

Also, I have a 1954 Chevy grille, upper lip and extra teeth… so probably going to install it. I think 1952 is probably the worst year for this swap (with the big round parking lights). But, that probably won’t stop me!

Finally, I have some extra stuff from this ‘52 as well as a “Honey Hole” I found locally for Ford and Merc stuff if anyone is looking for parts.

First pic is the old Snoqualmie train station. Used to live a couple blocks away.

That looks expensive parking, I find $2.79 is expensive over here.

Downtown Seattle (at a bar)… street parking is cheaper. Sometimes less than a dollar!

52 has these big holes for parking lights.

55 does as well, would fit right over those holes. Your 54 will look swell as well!

Go to the top of the page, tap on the one with 3 people. Open social groups, scroll down to 52-59 Fords and join in. IMO I like your Ford the way it is for body and trim.
If you are on Facebook there are many. Good luck!

"JimmySix"... do I need an invite?
the 1952-1954 group is blank and just says I can't reply.

As far as the '52... was an "Impulse Buy". I lowballed, and they said yes. Instead of back pedaling, I followed through. In all honesty, it's a really good piece of machinery! Flathead was rebuilt, everything works, dome lights even come on when I open the doors!
I decided to build the car I wanted in High School. When I was 13 or so... was a pretty weird kid. It was the 80s, and I greased my hair and listened to raunchy 50s R&B. All I wanted was a 50's car to drive to school.
Ended up with a 1963 Nova SS when I was 15... but always wanted a 50s car.
Over the years, I have owned LOADS of cars. But never a "Used" early 50s Ford, at the right time. Meaning the condition of a car a teenager could buy from a neighbor or car lot... 5, 6, 7 year old clean used Ford with dings and wear and tear.
This '52 isn't particularly desirable (it was on Craigslist for MONTHS). But, it checks all my boxes. Been bar hopping, parking her on the street in Downtown Seattle, and generally having a ball!

So, I am daily-ing her... and adding little stuff here and there like I would have in High School. A decent "Patina" 1954 Chevy grille and upper lip fell in my lap. So, I will probably shave the door handles, nose and deck, and fit that grille. The interior was redone "Original" in the 80s, so I doubt that will change... but we'll see!

I don’t remember how I joined but you can PM a moderator and ask. If your going to customize on a budget change the tail light lenses to Oldsmobiles..I think 54-55.. goes with the 54 Chevrolet grille.. good luck and have fun with your 52.

I found these in some “little pages” car magazines. I actually really like the look.
The photo you included has foreign plates, any idea where that was taken?

    Thanks! IMG_3158.jpeg
