    Instant gas mileage improvement, always going down hill. I made a few sets of those in the 70's, but 6 inches was about the limit. Most were 4 inch, that was usually enough to get the 60 series tires to clear the wheel openings.

    Any know any info on this car ? My three window has had the pass side wiper hole filled and it came from Springfield , Ohio at one time . Long shot but could be me .

    Maybe you don’t see a spring …. But I can see one.

  27. Yes, there's a spring mounted behind the axle (arrow 1) and running from radius rod to radius rod, but it appears it doesn't actually do anything if the axle is attached to the frame rail (arrows 2) from the original spring perch mount! At least, that's what it looks like to me. :confused:
