That was many years ago, remember reading about him/his cars in the car rags.
I believe Mike passed some years back, correct.

Yes, sadly Mike passed away 3 years ago. He was such a huge part of the UK scene, built fantastic cars and a brilliant photographer. You would see him and his wife at most big events with camera in hand

Don't know the exact era but this is one of my favorites - it has the stance to my mind.

  7. 60's is one thing, but the HAMB is for 65 and earlier build style. A lot in this thread are obviously later.

Thanks I know nothing about the car but just liked the photo - I think my Kiwi mate sent it to me.

  17. If you'd listen and learn, he's saying that a lot of your photos are from the late '60s to early '70s and aren't appropriate for the HAMB, which has a cutoff of 1965. Those are cool cars, but, c'mon, keep in your lane.

Here's one from the early '60s to keep things moving.

It sure was, regarding a specific Deuce sedan. This is a more general thread for inspiration on my next project. Here’s my current favourite UK Deuce which really nails the ‘60s look in my opinion

I realise that but it doesn’t make sense to me, what differentiates a pre ‘65 rod or pre ‘65 style? As far as I can see there is some blurring of styles around this time. Are Jeff Becks deuces considered compliant with HAMB rules? The ones that are from the ‘70s I noted as such as I thought they were quite cool regardless. If it’s considered not to follow the rules of this forum I’ll delete them.
The Keith Bush sedan has been the subject of many threads on this forum (including one of mine) but I’m assuming that this classic photo of it is from the late ‘60’s? I really don’t get the point of the post in suggesting photos aren’t compliant with HAMB rules when they have been posted many times on the forum but I’m willing to listen and learn. 04EBA55F-9B29-42BE-BC4B-DBA63FA50893.jpeg

  25. Don't worry about it, some people would bitch about a crisp $100.00 dollar bill. If Ryan or a Mod hasn't said anything, no one else's bitching matters. Yes, the Keith Bush sedan is one of the best. I'm sure glad the fenders went back on after it's big crash, it didn't look good with out them. Do you know that after it was fixed from when it flipped up in Washington, and they put it back to this configuration, that it was wrecked again in Pleasanton, and fixed again? Love that car. Keith has owned from the 50's.

  26. @daveh1932 -

Note that Keith @kb1939 Bush has owned his Deuce Tudor since 1956 ... so it's definitely a "HAMB-friendly" Hot Rod ... here it is on the streets of Fresno, CA circa 1959:

    Keith Bush's '32, Joe Vuglia's '41 Chev, & Pepper Snow's '57 Ford - circa 1959.jpg
images from the Fresno Pandraggers archives

Keith added the American 5-spoke mag wheels, the "Copper Dust" beltline scallops, & the pinstriping in 1964 or 1965 ... so even in its 1966 Oakland Roadster Show trim:

    ... it's still a "HAMB-friendly" Hot Rod.

  28. Last year, Robert (@THE-SYNDICATE) Morris bought a Deuce Tudor "Street Rod" . . . and turned it into a bitchin' 1960s style Hot Rod:

Thanks for the reply :) much appreciated. The Keith Bush sedan is one of my favourite Deuces, I will certainly be incorporating elements of it in my latest project. Does anyone know if he managed to fix it up again after the last incident?
