Totally. I refuse to allow it to cheapen the find.

And fellas, the right guy is gonna restore it. Everything is cool.

That pic of the Uncertain T on display at the GNRS is just off-the-charts cool. Thanks @badshifter for posting.
Wish I could be there to see it in person.

You know that your kind of a guest on here...right? It seems that you jumped on this forum with one thing in mind.... shameless self promotion with copius ammounts of drama! You dident even feel the need to fill out your profile page so I am willing to bet that after the dust settles on all this U.T. bullshit we most likely will never hear from you again. It is your 15 minutes in the spotlight, we get that. Badshifter is a respected member and has been a contributer on here for many years and is well respected here. Please keep that in mind. The U.T. story is interesting and an enjoyable read but it is NOT the holy grail of Hot Rods to most of us by any means. So how about you keep the story about the U.T., it's history and the people directly involved, and share with us info that is directly related to the story without all the side bar drama.

I like the car for what it is, or was. An impractical, over the top show car that probably sparked a lot of interest in kids of the day. Which is cool with me. I look forward to seeing the results of the restoration.

All the "marketing" b.s. and drama leave me feeling like I need to take a shower after reading it. The same feeling I get get after a visit to certain used car lots...

Wouldn't it be wild if they brought Steve Scott over to the mainland to participate in the restoration or at least sit with the unrestored version at the two shows it'll be at. He could answer so many questions and bring light to the mystery all in person.

I have been, and will continue to be at Galpin with Dave and Beau, and any project including the Uncertain T that they ask me to be a part of. And if relevant, I'll post on the HAMB as I always have.

As noted, the car is in GOOD HANDS! I've chatted to Steve Scott briefly on Social Network, good guy! In that era of "show cars", this one WAS functional, and proven to be. Seeing Galpin has it now, and if you know it's history....this car/ build has MUCH in common with Dan Woods's Milk Truck, as far as a young teen and his buddies gathering parts and working hands on to emanate what Ed Roth started with the Excalibur/ Outlaw! Man, to see that enthusiasm repeat amongst millennials would be something!

A lot of bandwidth could have been saved with a simple...

    UNCERTAIN-T FOUND AFTER 40 YEARS.

WILL BE DISPLAYED AT GNRS IN AS-FOUND COMDITION.

    The end.

I will say that as a young child in the early to mid 70s, I recall this car and the “hype” if you can call it that as how I understood it as a pre-teen. I think I might have actually gotten a model of it at one point which I’m sure as millions of other young boys at the time thought was the “thing to do”. I watched a YT of the “unveiling” this morning, and they mentioned how rare and expensive an unopened Revell model was. About $2K at peak market value. Time will only tell if it inspires another generation of “hot rodders”.

Your other option is to make a $500 donation to Steve Scott for a model you may or may not
    ever receive.

Damn! They did mention in the YT vid I watched some sort of issue WRT the models. Wasn’t clear on what they were referring to as it seemed like a royalty issue with Revell, but if he is trying to make/sell his own model, that is news to me.

So...just to know the players, who are the guys in the video above in the blue shirt with a ponytail, and the one with the white hooded sweatshirt? If I got it right, the other (larger) man is the new owner?

seems like a lot of cry babies all around
it is all about the cars / hot rods what ever you want to call it
I was and still am involved in hot rods and was involved with show cars
met a great deal of historic builders but the politically correct stuff
    takes all the fun out
let us sit back and try to remember what the fun was all about

Nope! That won't happen.... The molds got destroyed years ago and Monogram or Revell (now the same company) don't want nothing to do with Steve Scott anymore... R&M buried the hatchet years ago.... There, I said it!.... Glad to get that bullshit off my chest..
