They started in 1969-70. My OT 1970 car had BUF. I saw the plate on another thread and it starts with an A. So it was right at the beginning.

When did the car actually debut?

And all this talk about non-disclosure agreements is killing my buzz. I'm a lawyer and I think this shit sucks.

Funread…..there needs to be a few EGO’s checked at the door. After reading all this I’m glad I’m not “famous”…… but “infamous” is OK.

Attended the car show in Pomona today with Mr Nickerson, the former owner. The reactions by passer by's was remarkable. Surprised by how many were there that had seen it vack in the day. At one point while Mr. Nickerson being filmed/interviewed, I noticed an elderly gentleman having his picture taken in front of the UT by several family members. Suspecting he may have a memory of the car, I approached him and asked: "Have you seen it before?" And he says " Seen it?! He'll, I painted it!" It was Junior of House of Color.

He pulled out a signed photo from Steve Scott thanking him for doing such a fine job. I interrupted the interview with Mr. Nickerson and told them who was there. They promptly moved the interview over to include a conversation between Junior and Mr Nickerson.

Glad the Galpin folks ended up with the car. When I make my pilgrimage to see the Hirohata Merc. I'll get to see this one and all the other great stuff they have too!

"...and a pretty young girl to help you display your model..."

That's the part I'd like to see restored.

Maybe I should be careful what I wish for...

Debuted 1965 - thus, OT. Ironic, given all the hoopla.

Get cardboard. Cut it to size and glue into shape.
Copy original box art. Glue to box, or have printed directly.
Here's a business in your area.
