    He was referring to doing it while the springs were still in the car but the commenter interpreted him to be saying doing it while HE was still in the car... i.e., from the driver's seat. In which case, he would need really long arms to reach the springs... kind of like a gibbon's arms... only longer.

    Back in the day . Now kids don't even know what and ash tray looks like in a car. And if you own a stick they won't steal it cuz most don't know how to drive it lmao! :)

    I did this once on a Gremlin I owned. OE used one 30 amp fuse to protect(?) the A/C compressor and the high speed blower fan at the same time.
    I installed a 1/4" bolt and 2 inline fuses. Never failed after that.

    First wife liked to be there when I was working. One night I had her hold a flashlight.
    When the light wandered, I showed her where the action was, and told that she needed to see it.
    Then we were in sync.
    My father, working on his F-3 Dump Body, on the other hand, aggravated by my distraction
    ( age 6 ) took a 9/16 to my knuckles. :eek:
    Mom remarried 2 years later.

  23. Theres a good $20 or so of coke there. Cheaper to go to the junkyard for a spare.
