I like the color. Makes me want to see more. Let's get to it. The next bit is my fave!

I typically spray base coat clear coat. This is the first single stage job I have done in a long time. I was impressed with this stuff

You will be done before I finish the engine swap in mine!
What alternator mount will you be using?

IMG_5356.jpeg A ‘40 Ford needs some muscles, more than 85, rather triple that!
SBC is perfect, as your paint is, will really show the art deco lines.
    Keep up the good work!

Sand blasted and painted a set of wheels today. It will be nice to see the car with decent wheels and tires for the first time. 72963501830__7062CA74-DAEE-467B-85B6-D84983E95E5B.jpeg

Liking the black wheels, makes me wonder what you are doing inside? Black rugs, smokey seats, light grey headliner?
Grey rugs, black seats light grey headliner? The suspense is killing me over here.

Yeah black wheels are the best choice for that color... no doubt!

Not sure about the inside. Just trying to get it bolted together and on the road this summer, likely without much inside comforts

Awesome build, with many photos to aid in assembling my own. I have been eyeing the new rash of grey paint on the roads and like most of them, yours is pretty dark and looks great, for mine ,Ill take it a bit lighter. I enjoyed your read, eager to see more as it comes

I always caution people when they pick a “trendy” color. It often dates your build. I picked my gray before it became cool and was disappointed when it became a trend. Hahaha. Oh well!

I always hate doing little details like this but I’d like to get the glass in for cruising season. Blasted and sprayed with epoxy and 2k primer. Sand and paint tomorrow! IMG_4280.jpeg
