What's going on with all these parts providers selling parts for local pickup only. I need a left front United Pacific fender for my deuce pickup. Speedway has the best price $635 with free shipping from Lincoln and has one in the Phoenix store, no shipping. American Muscle has one in Ohio $150 more than Speedway no shipping. Summit will put one on order shipped from CA. $950 no delivery date. Auto Depot in CA. has one $1100 ship next week. They're all over the place with shipping and price. Guess I need to decide to step up or step back and wait for Speedway to get them early next summer. Bitch Bitch Bitch that's all I ever do!

I'd think that Speedway has their own trucks that make regular rons back and forth.
You might check with United pacific themselves. See if they do the free shipping over 99.00 on it. Screenshot (887).png Screenshot (888).png

UP does not honor free shipping over $99 when it applies to a fender. Fender direct from UP $1230 ($600 more than Speedway) The E-Bay deal says in stock but is ($400 more than Speedway) Summit will order but has no ship date is about $250 more than Speedway. Vendor in Ohio has several in stock but doesn't ship. Speedway won't haul the left fender only from Phoenix as they want to keep a pair in stock to sell together., they already sold me the right and put the left on BO until? Believe me I've been a dozen different directions. I just want to get it painted & mounted by mid April when driving season begins. It's my spring-summer-fall daily driver. Looks like I'm at the mercy of Speedway unless I want to break the bank? Thanks for all the replies.

Might try to find someone who needs the other fender? Buy two together?

what’s wrong with the fender on the truck now?

It's a little rough, just upgrading. Probably ruining the truck but it's currently mine. Will include all the old fenders, bent up tailgate and hood sides for the next owner when I sell but that will probably not happen until my estate sale? Speedway still won't transport them back to Lincoln from Phoenix once they're in the Phoenix inventory?

Are the fenders specific to truck? I’ll keep an eye out

I sure can't make that connection. Shipping to you is a lot different that halfway across the country to Nebraska. That ad above says local pickup only and contacting them by e-mail verified that. I tried working thru the same ad as above but that's where I got. Contacting UP in Long Beach shows the same result. I just can't get free shipping anywhere except Speedway but who knows when they will get a fender. Maybe I'm approaching this wrong?

Tim: 32 fronts are the same car or truck. I've passed on Brookville's as they need work to fit right. The United Pacific fenders are a bolt on fit as received, no metal work. Better product.

  16. The fenders are the same passenger car and truck UNLESS you have a BB truck (large frame) and a fender mount in which case the well is wider to fit the larger tire. Unless you are looking you might miss it but there are early and late fenders the difference being the "shelf" where the horn mounts (and the same area on the other side) is slightly wider on the later fenders.

I saw about 4 different venders offering UPC products on eBay. As a side note my body guy was very impressed with the fit and finish. He spent a total of about 2hrs on it opposed to about 6 on the original. Shipping from brookville would have put me in the same boat as you (west coast)

I do not think any time soon the price is going to be any cheaper ,
No experience with the UP fenders would it be $ well spent ordering direct from UP hopefully well cratered & shipped , front fender pretty big & delicate, if damaged in shipping No middle man to have fingers pointing ??!!
The BV 95% of time need metal working witch is time & $ ,,( have dealt with finger pointing many times & taken mouths to resolve)
My self looking for a better condition then the ones I using wright now ,300 for all four , A set popped up on M-P about month ago New BVs gone in 5 ish mints for 600 , IMG_1294.png IMG_1293.png IMG_1292.png

Yeah I hear ya on stuff not going down. By the time you wait for the free shipping guy to be in stock it’ll cost more than the pay for shipping guy now.

don’t feel bad about the bitching about it, I do it all the time lol. We should have taken up a hobby like bird watching but I fear I’d find a way to make that expensive too lol

I got a upc fender delivered, it came in a huge thick 3/4” in box. It would take a lot to damage it during shipping. I would order again in a heartbeat

  23. @krylon32, Hear you on the Speedway stock/shipping issue. Buddy here ordered a Ford 9" rear from them and it took forever, as they would get his housing in stock, but then ship it out to someone else, while waiting for one of the axles. Took some time, and some calls until someone at Speedway, intervened the computer system and got all thee parts committed to his build order, so that it would complete and ship. Maybe, you'll have to hound some more on the BO fender in the other warehouse.

Thanks for all the report. I've used 4-5 pairs of Brookville fronts. They look great but every pair has needed metal worked where they bolt to the side of the rails under the cowl, original or repro rails the same. Reworked at the outside rear corner so the curve matches the running board and they don't come with the fender brace hole or the dimples for the headlight bar. Also I'm so anal we always do surgery on the eyebrows so they match side to side. UP fenders bolt on and go very little work required.

Checking one last source. I buy a ton of parts from Roadster Supply. He lists the fender on his sight. I'll report back when I hear from him.

At last. The left front fender is shipped and is at a Fed X terminal in Kansas. Getting close. Got the fender from Roadster Supply. Shipping for a 34 lb fender by Fed X truck freight from CA. to NE. was $190. Really not a big deal at this point. Spring is just around the corner and I need the truck finished. Thanks Ray.

Now that I'm reading of all the back order & shipping rates, I'm ever more glad I bought the original paint 32 left front at the Greenfield Ia. swap meet this past fall, even though it had what appears to be a bit of outer edge damage. at half the repo rate felt it a rare opportunity.
