  1. Hey Brother, I noticed the dual outlet muffler, is your exhaust running 2 pipes into the one muffler?

An 88-98 Chevy pickup bench will fit door to door, if you can still find one anywhere near you.

  6. Did you run the pipes? Is the crossover towards the front?

Lloyd let me know if the speedometer needs freshening up. I didn’t have anything in my stash to help you out but can help if the speedometer and or the gauge cluster need service.
I’ll donate a new speedometer cable to the cause just give me a length.

A friend of mine used one of these in his AD. He said he had the front corners of the seat cushion trimmed off to fit better. They have a nice, thin back to give you more room. I used a split bench from a '80s Olds 88 and wished it had a thinner back.

My dad has one in his 52. The front of the seat sides just touch the doors. Been that way 20 years, no trimming.

There's no X pipe, just straight back to the muffler. I'm just gonna turn it down where it's at.

If you need measurements on an '88-98 Chevy/GMC truck seat, I am driving one as my winter beater & will be glad to give them to you .

Got the rear lights wired up today. Brake turn and stop. @chevy57dude will appreciate my signals lol, he asked me why I didn't have signals on ruckus last year when we went on a cruise lol... well I have to admit that the taillights i bought are LED, and this is the first time I've ever used them, flame away. Turns out that a normal ass flasher won't work with them! Had to run to town and buy a $15 flasher  then when all was good, the turn signal switch in the column broke. New column from Jegs. So I pulled it all apart and back to town, got a new standard ignition switch, another $55  Steve, you better appreciate these damn signals :D:p threw some rustoleum around on the floor. I'll put the signal switch in tmrw at the end of the day, after a fun filled day of sanding filler. That's about it for my day 20240219_182759.jpg

One thing I like about the cheby seats, they are comfortable and there is a million different seat covers available for them .... But you know a little bit about upholstery ;)

I'm assuming we have pretty close to the same interior real estate, I have a Dodge with a chebby choke cable, speedometer cable and seats. .... 1969 Mustang E-brake cable :p

The bucket seats are deeper then a stock factory bench seat ... it is short on leg room getting in to the truck between the A pillar and the front of the seat .... bit awkward climbing in but very comfortable once you are in. .... What I absolutely hate on the early, mid 90's cheby's is the inside arm rest is fixed and non movable.
So once I crawl in they are ok, If I want to reach over and get in the glove box the arm rest are in my way .... I want my baby to slide over and sit next to me ???? They are in there because thats what I have.
Newer cheby seats the arm rest do raise up and actually have built in seat belts.

I have been eye balling the seats in my wife Dodge Caravan, they are comfortable and no complaints driving it from Seattle to Texas several times, the arm rest do raise up, they are 3" shorter in the seat depth allowing more leg room between the A-pillar ..... I have cheby seats and they will get the job done, I'm thinking I will be hunting down some nice Caravan seats.

Sorry if modern seats are off topic.

Lloyd, I got the REAR seat out of a 05 or so 4 door F250 in my 56 F100. Works great and cheap. Maybe would work on your Chevy??

I'm gonna see what my buddy finds in his barn first, but if that doesn't pan out I'll see if they have any at the local scrap yard, thanks Greg

I built a 51 for my buddy Dave years ago and used a Dodge Dakota bench, it fit perfectly. Good luck finding one now.

Yeah, last year I asked LLoyd why no signals on the El. He said something to the effect that ''it's nobody's business where I'm going!''
Just keep the blinker fluid topped off.
Glad to see all the progress on so many people's cars this winter. I'm in pseudo hibernation mode until spring. Very little getting done here, but watching you guys keeps my spirits up.

The 88-94 (I think) seats are thinner in the back and bottom, so you may end up with more room in the cab. The drawback is they're not as comfy.
