I have one of these cars. Watching @Mart 's videos is the best. I am not presently working on it, (and likely won't for some time), but, I get to see what's inside all of the cans of worms before I get there. It's been a treat. Changed how I look at some stuff for sure. Thanks Mart !

Smiths speedo Repair and calibration! It's in the magnetism! Mart's 100E part 71! (2409)

Hello! Welcome to Mart's Garage. In part 71 of the 100E Anglia resurrection: Persistence pays off and I finally get the speedo calibrated. I learnt a lot about magnetism and made a demagnetiser. Thanks to Mark Presling for showing a suitable tool. It took some getting there but I am very pleased with the result.

    Lucas voltage regulator adjustment! Mart's 100E part 72! (2410)

Hello! Welcome to Mart's Garage. In part 72 of the 100E Anglia resurrection: While I fixed my charging problems by swapping the regulator I felt I needed to see if I could adjust my original regulator to give more output. Armed with the original workshop manual, I muddle through it as usual and gain a better understanding along the way.

Fragile old rubber mats. Let's reinforce them and get them fitted! Mart's 100E part 73! (2411)

Hello! Welcome to Mart's Garage. In part 73 of the 100E Anglia resurrection: I wanted to fit some of the trim to the car so I cleaned and fitted odd pieces. I then looked at the old rubber mats. They were literally falling apart. So can I make them strong enough to use again?

    Tinker Time! Let's sweat the small stuff! Mart's 100E part 74! (2412)

Hello! Welcome to Mart's Garage. In part 74 of the 100E Anglia resurrection: I keep identifying things that either need attention or need refitting, even if just to keep them safe. I fit some Old school rubber mats, try some tinted polish and investigate the non-working door locks and manage to get them working.

Last few parts go on! Tinker Time! Mart's 100E part 75! (2413)

Hello! Welcome to Mart's Garage. In part 75 of the 100E Anglia resurrection: I keep identifying things that either need attention or need refitting, even if just to keep them safe. I fit the last few parts back to the car and mull over some ideas. Whether any of the ideas come to pass will remain to be seen.

Tidyup starts! Let's move Old Rusty! (Update 2414)

Having done what I can on the 100E I wanted to rearrange the cars to give better access to the other side of the garage. This will allow me to get the Thunderbird out and the coupe too. But first my much neglected Model A Roadster, Old Rusty, has to be moved. I took the opportunity to check how it is faring after so long sitting under a tarp.

57 T-Bird! Will it run? Will it move? Will I wash it?! (Mart's Garage Update 2415)

Having done what I can on the 100E I wanted to rearrange the cars to give better access to the other side of the garage. I moved Old Rusty and can now turn my attention to my long neglected 57 T-Bird.

57 T-Bird! Dealing with Door Fit Issues! (Mart's Garage Update 2416)

While fitting the tread plates to the T-Bird I realised I was not happy with the door fit. There had always been issues right from day one. I found I was not going to get it ok within the adjustment available and had to modify the hinges to get a fit I was happy with.

57 T-Bird! Can I get it to run right? (Mart's Garage Update 2417)

I got the Thunderbird running, but wasn't happy with some mods I did over 30 years ago. In this video I try and reinstate the original parts. It didn't go as well as I had hoped. Watch the vid and see what you think!

57 T-Bird! Why can't I get it to run right? Still trying! (Mart's Garage Update 2418)
When I first got the T-Bird running over 30 years ago I couldn't get the carb to work in it's original state. I had to substitute parts from a later carb. Having recently got it running again, I felt it was time to put things right. Or at least try. Follow me in my quest to troubleshoot the original parts and get them reunited with the car. Once more it didn't go as well as I had hoped. Watch the vid and see what you think!

I am so glad to see you working on the '57 Bird! I kept admiring it in the background of so many of your videos. '57 is my favorite T-Bird!

57 T-Bird! Back out on the road! Running good! 2 barrels for now, 4 to come! (Mart's Update 2419)
When I first got the T-Bird running over 30 years ago I couldn't get the carb to work in it's original state. I had to substitute parts from a later carb and just run on two barrels. Having recently got it running again, I felt it was time to put things right. Or at least try. Follow me in my quest to troubleshoot the original parts and get them reunited with the car. In this video, while it's not running the original parts as I wanted to, at least with fresh spark plugs I get it running well again and was able to get it to the fuel station for fresh fuel. Future videos will show further reinstatement of the original parts plus secondaries and vac advance.

57 T-Bird Pt6! It runs on 2 barrels. Will it run on 4? Plus remote start and Ruby! (Mart's Update 2420)

In this video, I make a remote starter switch and make some progress on reinstating the secondaries. I also start looking at the choke. Future videos will show the difference the 4 barrels have made plus the distributor will get some attention to the advance mechanism.

Mart's Old 57 T-Bird! Reinstating the choke and Four Barrel Road Test! (Mart's Update 2421)

In this video, I Get the choke reinstalled and take it for a test out on the road. In a future video I will show reinstating the Vac Advance and replacing the points plate in the distributor.

Well @Mart, now that you have that '57 running and driving well and doors working etc, you need to ship that baby over here to sunny and dry Madras Oregon in the states and let me keep it dry and limber for you. You can't keep getting that wet and sitting in the garage eh?

I really like that car, color and the wheel choice.

    Cheers,

    Dave

    Mart's Old 57 T-Bird Pt9! Lots of little jobs! Let's Tinker! (Mart's Update 2423)

In this video I work my way through some small but essential jobs on my old 1957 Thunderbird. I change the air filter which was from when I first got the car going, I play with the bimetallic spring on the autochoke just for fun, I change the oil and filter, look at the accelerator pump and revisit the vacuum line with some new fittings.
