Haven't seen too many color photos of the Aguirre (sp?) 'Vette. I wonder how many different paint schemes it had? I really like this one! I was gonna post a pic of that one - Pinky Richards' "Vette - but you beat me to it. Your pics are better though, being in color! The ones I had saved are B&W. I think Larry Watson really outdid himself on that one!
I like all of them. Except for the red one with the white coves and top. It seems like it’s trying to hard to be cool. Aaaahh! I’m just kidding Mark! It’s cool!
Done by Miles Masa in approx '71 - '72 man I wish I still had it. I know where is is but the "custom" has been removed and I can't afford to get it back anyway. I still have the vin memorized, it was the very first car I owned.
I like em all, solid axle or mid year; but other than smoothing it out a little… it’s hard to improve on the original design!
How about this hand built custom on a Corvette frame? In 1957 local tool and die maker Cecil Moore took a 1956 Vette frame, built his own fiberglass body and added a Dodge Red Ram Hemi. Cecil's car used the windshield and interior from the Vette. It was featured in the October 1959 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. The last I knew of the car it was for sale in Texas in 2018.
