Technical Ford 390 bypass tube PN??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by alteredpilot, Feb 26, 2024.

  1. Anyone have a good auto parts store part number for the bypass tube in the intake manifold to the water pump? The Ford PN doesn't cross over. Thanks in advance.

  3. Which size? There are two sizes, and both are oddball. The early motors ('58/59) used a 11/16" size, the later motors dropped it down to a bit smaller than 5/8". I'm pretty sure these were both dealer-only bits as I tried a parts house back in the day and had no luck.

they are listed at several repop suppliers, but all are out of stock.

Try the one I showed, it's cheap enough.

I've used 5/8 copper tubing in the past.
