Post up your ripple side pipes! We now have 2 sets in our club here in South Florida which has brought up some questions. Was Fenton the only one to manufacturer/ sell them or were there others? Were there variations? The 1st set belongs to Texastrader and are going on her 53 Chevy 150 these are a 2 piece design with smaller sections of ripples, the 2nd set belongs to Movinman and just came off of his 51 Merc to go on his 52 Merc convertible, 1 piece design, note the longer sections of ripples.
I remember back in the day, auto parts stores sold un-chromed ripple exhaust pipe that you could bend to make an exhaust system out of. The ripples allowed you to bend it without kinking.
These are the only reproduction pieces I know of, and they're continuous ripple sections: https://bareknuckleperformance.com/products/traditional-ripple-exhaust-pipe
and those don't exist....I tried to get in touch with those people a few years ago and it was a no go.
There was an old thread on here when a user made the dies and was making the ripple tubing for everyone. Many many moons ago.
There’s a rumor going around about a HAMBer working on producing ripple pipe again. Hope it comes true!
